Welcome.
The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain (HCGB) is the prime organisation for the control and operation of sporting Hovercraft within the United Kingdom.

The principal aims of the Club are to encourage the safe operation of light Hovercraft for sporting and recreational purposes and provide assistance in the design and construction of sporting Hovercraft.
On this site you can find out more about the HCGB, our history (in brief), our branches, contacts and more. We have plenty of information here about all aspects of the club so take a look around and then come join us.

The 2008 World Hovercraft Championship runs from August 20th-24th in Flotsbro in Sweden.
Over the next few days the drivers and their families and friends from TeamGB will be making the long trek out there to race against the best in World and bring back trophies*.
More than forty drivers have registered from the UK from Formula 1 to Juniors and all points in between.
You can keep up to date with the event by visiting the official timing site at www.worlds.raceresults.info
I would personally like to wish everyone the very best of luck and hope you all have a safe, successful and all-round cracking time.

*If past events are anything to go by, it's everyone else who's racing against the best in the world but nothing is certain!

Whittlesey race meeting cancelled, Whittlebury on.
2008-08-01 21:30:19
Sadly we have to announce that there will not be a race meeting at Whittlesey this year despite our best efforts.
However, thanks to the work of the Chiltern's Branch there will be a race meeting on that weekend, 20-21 September, at Whittlebury Park near Silverstone.
We will post more information, directions etc., nearer the event.
